Funeral services for Mrs. Oscar E. Mosing, Nerstrand, former Rochester and Chatfield resident, who passed away early Tuesday morning, Oct. 23 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, after a lingering illness, will be conducted on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 2:30 p.m. at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Earl Buck, pastor and the Rev. Mr. Rossing of Nerstrand, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Palen and Lohse Funeral Home. The former Lillian Blake was born Sept. 28, 1889, at Post Falls, Idaho, and was married to Oscar E. Mosing on June 12, 1906 in Nerstrand, Minn. Her husband operated a portrait photography studio in Chatfield for 10 years before, opening a studio in Rochester, which he operated for 25 years before retiring eight years ago. Since his retirement, the couple has been living in Nerstrand, returning to Rochester this summer. Mrs. Mosing was a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Chatfield. Survivors include her husband; two sons, William E. Mosing of Rochester and Marshall Mosing of Minneapolis; two daughters, Mrs. George Allen of Arcadia, Calif., and Mrs. C. C. Berkins of Rochester; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and a half-brother, Joy Blake, of Lewiston, Idaho.
