Roles Watson Hall, 85, died Friday at 10:30 p.m. after a long illness. Mrs. Hall was a member of the White Hill Church of the Brethren. He was a native of Augusta County.
Born June 11, 1878, he was the son of the late William Lewis and Lucy Vaden Hall. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Cornelia Harris Hall, who died Sept. 20, 1939.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John L. (Thelma) Braden, Waynesboro, and one sister, Mrs. Annie McAlpine, Staunton.
The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home and will be placed in the White Hill Church of the Brethren on Sunday at 2 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Elwood F. Humphreys, with interment in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Daniel Harris, Andrew Chandler, William Desper, Thomas Chandler, Moffett Black and Ray Fretwell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight between 7 and 8.
