LIPAN - Byron Tidwell, 62, minister of Lipan Church of Christ, died Tuesday at a Mineral Wells hospital. Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Burial: Acton Cemetery in Acton.
Mr. Tidwell was born in Acton and had lived in Lipan since 1990. He was a former minister at Churches of Christ in Cresson, Texline, Cleburne and Gainesville. Mr. Tidwell was a graduate of Granbury High School and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors: Wife, Barbara Tidwell of Lipan; two sons, Byron Tidwell Jr. of Poway, California, and James C. Tidwell of Chula Vista, California; brother, U.L. Tidwell Jr. of Granbury; and three grandchildren.
