DEATH OF ALICE M. MEACHAM

Mrs. Alice M. Mecham age 62 years, and wife of Morgan Mecham died at 12:16 yesterday morning following a lingering illness from rheumatism and diabetes.
She has been resident of this city for the past 20 years. She was born in Salt Lake City February 23, 1860 and has resided also a portion of her life in Rush Valley.
Her Father Edwin Pettit of Salt Lake City survives her as well as a number of brothers and sisters. Bishop
R. N. Bush of Clover is one of her surviving brothers.
Funeral services will be held in the
North Ward Church Saturday (tomorrow
afternoon) at 1 o'clock.

Mrs. Mecham is survived by her husband, Morgan Mecham, her father Edwin Pettit of Salt Lake, four brothers Edwin Pettit Jr., Ray Pettit, Archibald Pettit all of Salt Lake and R. N. Bush of Clover; and five sisters Mrs. Emma Jones, Mrs. Lillian Berken Shaw, Mrs. Nellie Martin, Mrs. Elsie McKnight and Mrs.Winifred Reeves, all of Salt Lake City.

Alices father Edwin married Maria Bush, a widow with two sons, and they had one daughter. After her death, he married Rebecca Hood Hill, and they became the parents of fourteen children. Edwin died April 17, 1924, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
