RALPH FRANCIS WALTERS
Ralph Francis Walters, 98, died Monday at Lakeview Retirement Center. He was born in the Milford Community on Dec. 20, 1881, the son of Albert and Rosa Walters.
He was married in Chapman on Nov. 14, 1913, to Hannah, who preceded him in death Feb. 4 1978. He worked as a carpenter.
Mr. Walters is survived by two sons, Edward J. Walters of Chesterfield, Mo., and Dan Walters, of Kansas City; and two daughters, JoAnn Cragg of Dodge City, and Helen Jones of Topeka. He was preceded in death by a son, Francis, and by a daughter, Madeline.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, with Dr. Maurice Graham officiating. The vocalist will be Don Wyant, and the organist, Florence Whitebread. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be John Schrad, George York, William Bitterlin, Leonard Engstrom, Norman Dibben, and John Carlyon.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Today.
