Wesley L. Cease

Wesley L. Cease, 48, 2214 West 1st, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital. He had cancer and had been ill since December.

He was born Nov. 19, 1923, in Illinois, and lived at Overland Park before he moved to Topeka two years ago. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.

Mr. Cease was manager of Charlie Hall's Night Club at 4720 Topeka.

He was married to the former Vici Gibbs. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Robert Corona, 3140 Humboldt, Mrs. Richard Beckwith and Mrs. William Denney, both of Leavenworth; two sons, Randy Hughes and Bradley Hughes, both of Leavenworth; three stepdaughters, Terry Accurso, Cindy Gibbs and Carrie Gibbs, all at home; three stepsons, Randy Gibbs, Ricky Gibbs, and Timmie Gibbs, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Lester Turner, Florissant, Mo., and Mrs. Victor Blatnik, Euclid, Ohio; a grandson and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
