Interesting history, her father came to Decatur, IL. 1834 was Sheriff of Macon Co. when Lincoln was a trial lawyer, Mr. Hills resigned rather than spring the trap on a condemned to die prisoner.

Her brother Charles Edward Hills was a teacher in Polo, IL. in 1864.
