Reuben A. Rambo Dies Tuesday
Reuben A. Rambo, 81, died at his home Tuesday. Born in Joplin, Missouri, he moved to Hingham, Montana, in 1911, and homesteaded. He married Alta M. Hawkins April 10, 1912 at Hingham and they farmed until 1937, when they moved to Newport, Washington, where they lived two years. They then moved to Kevin where he was employed as a boiler fireman for Big West Oil Co. He retired in 1967. They moved to Kalispell five years ago and have lived here since.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, his parents, one brother and a sister. Suriving him, besides his widow, are three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Gwen) Lee, Kalispell; Mrs. Robert (Fay) Swanson, Great Falls and Mrs. Stanley (Adeline) Ellertson, Spokane; three sons, Earl of Kalispell; Pat, Lewistown, and Jack, Great Falls; one sister, Mrs. Nell Brevik, Puyallup, Wash.; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services at the Weatherford Funeral Home. Interment in Glacier Memorial Cemetery.
