RUIDOSO, N.M. - Memorial services for Esther Haynes Hastings, 95, former Plainview resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe P. Weldon, pastor, officiating.
Her cremains will be buried in Plainview Memorial Gardens. Lemons Funeral Home handled local arrangements.
Mrs. Hastings died Monday, March 9, 1998, in Ruidoso.
She was born March 1, 1903, in Denton County. She grew up and attended schools in Becton and Petersburg and moved to Plainview in the 1930s. She had lived in Ruidoso the past few years.
Survivors include one son, Jim Haynes of Alamogordo, N.M.; three daughters, Bobbie Short of Ruidoso, Sue Albrecht of Sandia, Texas and Minnie Clark of Plainview; two sisters; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two daughters, Maurine Harris in 1997 and Mary Starkey in 1990; a son, Jerry Germany in 1990; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
