Mrs. Ida Sohn, 82, formerly of Spring Valley and a resident of the Toth Nursing Home, Chilton, died Monday at Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton. Born Sept, 28, 1884, in the town of Centerville, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Grotogut Bebermeier. She was educated in the district schools. On Jan. 11, 1904, she was married to Julius Sohn of the Town of Centerville. The couple observed their 60th wedding anniversary in 1964. The couple located on a farm in the town of Newton until their retirement in 1947, when they moved to Spring Valley. Mr. Sohn died in April 1964. Mrs. Sohn was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Spring Valley.
Survivors include three sons, Roy of Spring Valley, and Lincoln and Adrian of Kiel; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Eberhardt, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Alvin Rodewald, Cleveland; and one brother, Otto of Newton. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, one sister and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at St. James UCC, Spring Valley, with the Rev. Merlin Huebschmann, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
