She was born November 9, 1927 in Missouri and was raised by the Joe Weber family in Ellis, Kansas. On October 7, 1946 she married Milton E. Meier in Ellis, Kansas. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was a homemaker while her children were growing up. Later on she worked as a cook and baker at Lincoln Elementary School for eleven years in Hays. She loved to bake and many family, friends and acquaintances enjoyed her baking skills in making cinnamon rolls and bierocks. She was a member of the Christian Mothers of Antonino and the Our Lady, Help of Christians Catholic Church, Antonino, KS.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; 3 sons, one daughter; 10 grandchildren; Fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Frank, Leo, Carl, Joseph L., Engelbert, Ambrose, John J. and Herman Weber and sisters, Frances Neuberger, Barbara Schafer, Sophie Brown, Anna Yoder, Cecelia Weber, and Mary Beer.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Our Lady, Help of Christians Catholic Church in Antonino. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 8:00 on Friday and from 9:00 am until 9:30 on Saturday, all at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine. A Christian Mothers rosary will be at 6:30 followed by a parish vigil service at 7:30, both on Friday at the funeral home.
