Thomas Calvin Flowers Sr. (T.C) was born on February-19,-1926in Wynnewood, OK to Willie Cornelius Flowers and Addie Mae Calhoun. He later met and married Dorothy Flowers. Whoproceeded him in death in 1974. Fromthis union they raised eight children: Jerald Overstreet, Margaret Jackson, Margie Byrd, Kathy Sanders, SusanMack, Thomas Calvin Flowers Jr., Willie Lee Flowers, and Evelyn Flowers. He has seventeen grandchildren and a greatnumber of great grandchildren. He leavesbehind his brothers: J.C. Flowers Sr. Henry Flowers, and Wilkie Flowers, hissisters include Margretta Moore, Addie Mae Scott, Bobbie Rushing and Betty LouFlowers. Preceeded in death by his mother Addie Mae Flowers, Ben T Flowers, Shaderick Shankton Flowers and infant son Willie Jr. Flowers. He was a Sergeant in the United States Armyand served in the Korean War as a Med-Tec. Thomas Calvin Flowers retired from Brown Motor Company where he workedfor over twenty years.
Pallbearers will be Perry Hubbard, Teddy Flowers, Terry Flowers, Cameron Sanders Tyrone Baker and Obie Baker.
A reception will be held at First United Methodist Church located at 214 South Denton Street Gainesville, Tx 76240 from 3-5 p.m. Saturday following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the First State Bank to the T.C. Flowers Sr. Trust Fund overseer Kathy Sanders.
