He was born near Bland on July 7, 1885, the son of Dallas and Minerva (Haynes) Crider.
On June 10, 1910, he was married to Sadie Reed of Franklin County. They made their home at Canaan for a short time, later moving to Shannon County near Alley Springs. Except for some years of residence at Henrietta, Oklahoma, they resided in Shannon County and after his retirement lived in Eminence.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Austin, Porter and Charles F. Crider.
Survivors include the widow of Eminence; two sons, Dallas and Lloyd Crider, also of Eminence; 28 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Burial was made in the Delaware cemetery in Shannon County.
