MAGEE - Benjamin Pinkney Herring, 96, died in Villafelicina Hospital in Jackson, La. Services were at Mims-Mitchell Funeral Home with burial in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Survivors are four sons, Norman Herring of Mendenhall, Armand Herring of Jackson, Jerald Herring of Jackson and George Herring of Miami; two daughters, Mrs. James W. Floyd of Jackson, La., and Mrs George Ferguson of Huntsville, Ala; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Herringston of Laurel and Ruth K. Johnson of Jackson; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Benjamin Pinkney Herring, 96, of Jackson, La. died April 22 at Villa Feliciana Hospital in Jackson, La. He was formerly of Simpson County and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. April 24 at Mims Mitchell Chapel with Rev. Barney Padgett officiating. Burial was at Pine Grove Cemetery and Mims Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include four sons, Norman Herring of Mendenhall, Armand Herring and Jerald Herring, both of Jackson and George Herring of Miami, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. James W. (Ira) Floyd of Jackson, La. and Mrs. George (Jean) Ferguson of Huntsville, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Inez) Harrington of Laurel and Mrs. Ruth K. Johnson of Jackson; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
