Betty Geniece Crisp was born to Lois and Hollis Moseley on Aug. 22, 1935, in Hernandez, New Mexico and peacefully passed away at home with her family and friends at her side in Mariposa, on April 2, at the age of 76.
Betty and her husband Carlie moved to Mariposa in January of 1960. Mrs. Crisp was employed by Bank of America, Dr. Norman Nichols, Dr. Griswold, Farm Bureau, and Merced County. She was also a Cub Scout Leader, and lifetime member of the Mariposa Fish and Game Association.
Mrs. Crisp is preceded in death by her parents Hollis and Lois Moseley; her husband, Carlie Warren Crisp.
She is survived by her son, Scott Crisp; daughter in law, Peggy Sue Wagner of Mountain Ranch; sisters, Jo Fern McCutchen of Atwater, Wilma Campbell of Chowchilla; grandson, David Crisp of Temecula; granddaughter, Justina Martin of Lake Forest; many cousins, nieces and nephews and three very special great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at Mariposa Funeral Home on Saturday, April 7, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mariposa District Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mariposa Home and Hospice in memory of Betty Geniece Crisp.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mariposa Funeral Home.
