Funeral services for Frank Blaha, 71, of rural Verndale, who passed away at Rochester on Saturday, July 1, were held this afternoon (Thursday) from the Christian and Missionary Alliance church in Wadena with the Rev. C.C. Hainlen officiating. Burial was in the Wadena cemetery.
Frank Joseph Blaha was born the son of Mrs. C.C. Blaha and the late Mr. Blaha in Bullard Township on March 9, 1890. He lived in the Bullard and Central townships during his early years. On September 4, 1912, he was united in marriage to Ethel Boyd. Following their marriage, they resided in Duluth and later returned to live in their home community and have lived there since except for a few years when they resided in Staples.
The deceased was a lifetime member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Wadena.
He is survived by his wife Ethel, one son, Donald; his mother, Mrs. Mary Blaha of Brainerd; one sister, Mrs. Otto Nicolaus of Brainerd; one brother, William of Staples; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
