McALLEN - Luis Carlos Abrego, 51, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital of McAllen. Mr. Abrego was born February 5, 1961 in Reynosa, Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugenio and Angelina (Garcia) Abrego.

He is survived by three sisters, Diana Trower (Greg), Alma Abrego and Sandra Abrego; one brother, Jorge Eugene Abrego; numerous nieces and nephews, Polo Sandoval, Jr., Stephanie Dumareille, Sebastian Dumareille and Jose Eugenio Abrego.

Visitation: 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, April 10, 2012, with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral mass: Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. Serving as pallbearers: Greg Trower, Jorge Eugenio Abrego, Polo Sandoval, Alex Garcia, Polo Sandoval, Jr., Baldemar Garcia and Sebastian Dumareille.
