SANFORD — John Eldridge Brown Jr., 54, died Wednesday (6/29/11) at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Rogers Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.

Born in Lee County, he was preceded in death by his father, John E. Brown Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Hunter Brown; daughter, Denise Hillier Fike and husband Steve of Sanford; stepdaughter, Charity H. Ayers and husband Billy of Sanford; mother, Grace Mashburn Brown of Sanford; sisters, Tammy Brown and Dianne Bodenhamer and husband William of Sanford; brothers, Donald Brown and wife Tina of Ohio, Lee Brown and wife Mia, Ronald Brown, Michael Brown, and Donnie Brown, all of Sanford; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday prior to the funeral service.
