For Tom Baugh

Services for Thomas Jefferson Baugh, 84, retired electrical contractor, will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Henninger Funeral Home.

Mr. Baugh died at 530 a.m. yesterday at Jennie Stuart Hospital. where he had been a patient since suffering a broken hip in a fall several weeks ago.

The widely-known business-man came to Hopkinsville in 1898 as wire chief with the old Cumberland Telephone Co. He had owned and operated Baugh Electric Co. for many years.

Mr. Baugh, of S. Virginia St., was a native of Lavaca County, Tex., but moved at an early age with his family to Franklin, Tenn. He was born May 22, 1880, the son of Loving Harvey and Molly Burkett Baugh.

An avid golfer, he was a charter member of the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and had been a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge since 1904.

In 1902 he married the former Datha Davis, daughter of Capt. Mc. J. Davis, former Christian County sherriff. After her death in 1960, Mr. Baugh was married in 1961 to the former Allie Davis, sister or his first wife.

Officiating at the services tomorrow will be his pastor, the James Talley. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Surviving, besides his wife, . are a son. Robert D. Baugh, Cayce Meade Drive; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Baugh (Weldon) Harris, Miami, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Tommy, Patrick, Johnny and Danny Baugh of Hopkinsville; Mrs. Jack Degler and Mrs. Leo Maceri of Miami, and Lt. Bobby Baugh, stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany; four great-grandchildren, Tonya Baugh, Peppi and perry Moceri, Lee and Shannon Baugh; four brothers, Arthur Baugh, Los Angeles. T. E. Harvey and John Baugh, all of Dallas; and two sisters, Mrs. A. M, Neil, Little Rock. and Mrs. Clarence Cruwell, Los Angeles.

He was preceded in death by another son, Thomas Baugh Jr., who died at the age of 7.

Pallbearers will be Sam Miles, Fritz Wilkins, Johnny Thompson, Ide Bouldin, Preston Cayce, and Pete Primm. Honorary pallbearers will be N. F. Smith, Dr. Arthur Heltzel, Max Blythe, Dr. Randolph Dade, Harry Keach, Dr. Harvey Stone, W. E. Rogers, Gilmer Pursley, and S. Y. Trimble IV.
