T/Sgt. Russell Barrick, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Barrick, Hopldnsville, formerly of Smiths Grove, was killed in action in Germany, March 10, his parents have been notified by the War Department.
Sgt. Barick volunteered for service February 28, 1939. He was born in Warren county, May 19, 1921. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, the former Miss Cora Louise Collette, to whom he was married April 13, 1944 in Blackstone, Va., and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Wines, Smiths Grove.
