Ronald Eual Mays Sr. the son of Jack and Velma (Goddard) Mays was born April 29, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with his Lord on April 7, 2012 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 9 days.
Ronald was ordained in the early 1970's as a Baptist Minister in Oklahoma City. He was a true Bible student as he spent hours daily studying the Bible. Ronald was a missionary and spent many years in Mexico sharing Christ with the lost. He and Sharon spent five and a half years in Israel as missionaries and became citizens of Israel holding dual citizenship with the U.S. They are of the Messianic Jewish faith and spent their time in Israel spreading the gospel of Christ. Ronald was an author among many other things such as Police Officer for over 11 years in Lodi, CA. Ronald was a very special person to all who met him and he touched many lives. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janice Mays and grandson George Harley Hinkle.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Sharon Mays; sons Ronald Eual Mays Jr. and wife Charlotte and Alan Dale Mays; daughter Sharyn Annette Raney and husband Charles; brother Ray L. Mays and wife Arlene and sister Theresa L. Narez; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Graveside Services for Ronald Eual Mays Sr. will be held Monday April 9, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the Parkhill Cemetery in Parkhill, Oklahoma. Services were entrusted to the care of Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
