Mrs. Gandy was born in Meigs, Georgia, but lived in Macon most of her life. She worked in the family restaurant business, Mark's Cellar and The Saratoga, and retired after many years as Fashion Advisor with Kiralfy-Goldman. She was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church and the Edmund F. Cook Sunday School Class. Mrs. Gandy was predeceased by her husband, Marcus A. Gandy, Sr.
Surviving Mrs. Gandy are her daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Ronnie Edwards; her sons and daughters-in-law, Marcus and Nancy Gandy and Phillip and Barbara Gandy; her sister, Glynn Elsner; her brother, Hollis Johnson; eight grandchildren, Maggie Edwards, Drew Edwards, Marc Gandy, Stephanie Davidson, Sam Gandy, Hannah Fleckenstein, Darlene Gandy and Phil Gandy, Jr.; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
