ROCKWELL - Dorothy L. Hobbiebrunken, of 216 Third St. N., Rockwell passed away on Saturday, 19 Mar 2011, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, MN.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, 23 Mar 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell. Officiating will be the Rev. Father James William Dubert.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, 22 Mar, at the Sacred Heart School with a parish wake service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Sacred Heart Church.

Dorothy Lewine was born on 13 Jan 1922, near Rockwell, the daughter of John and Erma (Scholl) McLaughlin. She lived on a farm west of Rockwell with her parents and attended country school, later graduating from Swaledale High School in 1939.
On 2 Jul 1941, she was united in marriage to Alvin Hobbiebrunken at Swaledale, and to this union five sons were born. They made their home northwest of Thornton.
In 1968 they moved to Sheffield where she worked as a waitress and cook at the Midtown Café. Her husband retired in 1984. In May 1993, they moved to the Century Homes in Rockwell. She did volunteer work along with her church and the Sacred Heart Guild.
Dorothy is survived by three sons: Terrel and his wife Becky, South Sioux City, NE; Hal and his wife Judy, Hastings, NE, Ken and his wife Brenda, Thornton; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two twin brothers Loras (Ethel) McLaughlin, Clear Lake; Loren (Margaret) McLaughlin, Mason City, a sister-in-law Delores McLaughlin, Mason City and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband in January 1994, an infant son and son Daryle in 1998, parents, a sister and brother in infancy, and one brother LaVerne McLaughlin preceded her in death.
