Lewis J Adams, 72, of Hopkinsville died at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Indiana, on June 21, 1975.
Lewis was born on October 23, 1902 to Andrew Jackson & Mary Lou Bowling Adams. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Torian Adams. They were the parents of Lewis Jackson "Bill" Adams, Jr., who also preceded him in death.
Lewis was a well know business man in Christian County in the area of tobacco, farming and distribution. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and was active in the Elks Club.
He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth Hester Adams and five sisters, Mrs. Claude Cranor, Mrs. Barrett Brown, Mrs. John Giligan and Mrs. Margaret Adams all of Christian County and Mrs. Paul Cayce of Corpus Christi, TX.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 23, 1975 with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
