Albert G. came to Jefferson Co Iowa with his mother Sarah about 1843. In 1847 he purchased 40 acres of land in Sec. 23 Cedar Township. He keeps this property for 20 years. In 1867 he sells it to Nuby Smith for $65. He married and his first child was born here.

It seems he was a restless soul and by 1849 he is tired of Iowa so he moved to Jackson Co Wisconsin. His next four children were born here. By 1859 the family has moved to Rice Co Minn. where three children are born. His last child is born in 1865 in Marion Co Missouri
By 1877 the family has arrived in Oregon.
