Franklin "Franky" Joseph Ivey, age 22, of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012. He was born June 28, 1989 in Valparaiso.
Franky is survived by his father, Thomas David Ivey of Westville, IN; daughter, Mackincie Bauswell, and Mackincie's mother, Chassity Bauswell of Valparaiso, IN; brothers: Thomas David Ivey II of Valparaiso, IN, Donlyn Ivey (Ashlie Wuerthele) of Porter, IN and Joshua Ivey of Porter, IN; and nieces: Kendra Ivey and Sicily Ivey.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nikki (Bednar) Ivey.
Franky was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Portage High School, where he also participated in ROTC. Franky's smile would always brighten the world around him. He never had a problem lifting his sleeve to help anyone in need. He was the greatest brother.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN with Rev. John Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Heritage Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation will be held Friday, April 6, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial gifts are preferred to Franky's family.
