EDWARD D. McCABE

MAPLE PARK -- Edward D. McCabe, 65, Rural Route Two, Maple Park, died at 2:35 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary's Hospital, DeKalb.
McCabe was born July 20, 1889, in Na-Au-Say, Kendall County, Ill., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McCabe. He was reared in the Plano community and later moved to Elburn where he operated a farm.
McCabe attended Plano High School and the University of Illinois. In 1920, he married the former Mary O'Malley in St. Mary's Church, Maple Park.
In 1928, he moved to the farm where he resided until his death.
Survivors include: his widow, Mary; son, Thomas, DeKalb; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Hiatt, DeKalb, Mrs. Robert Bell, Salt Lake City, Utah, Virginia McCabe, Chicago; five grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie McCabe, Rockford, Mrs. William Sanders, Maple Park; and two brothers, Leo and Julian, both of Chicago.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Mathew and Thomas.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church in Maple Park with the Right Reverand Monsignor Conron officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery, Maple Park.
