On Jan 30, 1905 he was married Laura Ellen Parsons, daughter of David Parsons and Olive Tressa Curtis. They were married in Muscatine County, Iowa.

William lived in Wapello and the High Prairie community in Muscatine County before moving to Letts, Iowa in 1903, where he operated the W. H. Reddick cafe for 20 years. He was a member of the Letts Methodist Church.
William died Apr 8, 1940 at Muscatine, Muscatine County, Iowa; buried at Letts Cemetery, Louisa County, Iowa.
