Joseph Moroni England, a local businessman, died Sunday Jan 6 at 1:35 p.m. at the Tooele Valley Hospital, after a short illness.

Owner of the Style Shop, Mr. England had spent his entire life here and has been instrumental in the growth of the community.

He was born Aug 1, 1880, a son of John and Eliza Kennington England, and was married Feb 7, 1906 in the Salt Lake Temple to Agnes Murray.

In his early life he was associated with his father in the livestock business and in 1913, started a grocery business for himself.

The business grew and he moved to larger quarters several times to make room for his expanding business. In 1920 his wife joined him and sold her handwork. She later added house dresses which proved so popular that they expanded to a Ready to Wear Ladies Shop, and discontinued the grocery line.

Mr. England was also affiliated with his sons in construction work and rentals.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and at the time of his death was group leader of the High Priests in Tooele Third Ward, a position he had held for the past 10 years.

Surviving are his widow, three sons, and one daughter J. Elmo , Deloyd, and Boyd England, Tooele and Mrs. William G. (Ruth) McIntire, Baton Rouge, LA. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Also surviving are a brother , Azile England, Tooele, a sister Julia Denny, Downey, Idaho and two half brothers Albert, Tooele and Lo Ami England, Salt Lake City.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Tooele Third-Seventh Ward.
