Mr. Davis was the husband of Carol Haigler Davis of Darlington. They were married for 55 years. Mr. Davis was a 1934 graduate of MUSC School of Pharmacy. He served his country as a Naval corpsman in the United States Marines during World War II in the Pacific theater. He practiced pharmacy in Darlington for 49 years and was owner and operator of Davis Drug Store. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, a 50 year member of the American Legion, and life member of the South Carolina Pharmaceutical Association. He had served many years on the Darlington County Health Board and as secretary/treasurer of Pee Dee FM Amateur Radio Club. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and served as trustee and treasurer for many years.
