He was born in Anderson County, Texas on February 18, 1940, the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Auld and Jennie Mae Austin Auld. He graduated from Palestine High School in 1958 and Sam Houston State University in 1962. He retired from the Texas Employment Commission. Mr. Auld is survived by daughter, Stacey Spears; and grandchildren, Austin Spears, and Allie Spears; and sister, Brenda Auld.
