OBITUARY :
L. JEANNE BAKER, 82, of 129 South Valley Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the Washington County Hospital.

Born May 16, 1925 in Portage, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Ethel V. Lewis Lauffer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Baker on December 29, 2003.

She was retired from Fisher Pharmacy.

She was a member of St. James Brethren Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharyn L. Baker, and Kathie Connor, both of Hagerstown; one son, Kenneth G. Baker of Boonsboro, Maryland; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Lauffer, and George Lauffer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the St. James Brethren Church. Rev. Brian H. Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Manor Cemetery in Tilghmanton, Maryland.

Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to St. James Brethren Church, 17718 Lappans Road, St. James, Maryland 21781.
