LELAND FRANK ALLEY
JONESPORT - Leland Frank Alley, 77, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Down East Community Hospital in Machias. He was born on January 17, 1935, and was the son of Jeremiah and Ada (Radley) Alley. He was predeceased by his brothers, Maynard and Raymond Alley. He is survived by his nieces, Margaret Hatt, Cindy Kelley and Donna Mills, all of Jonesport, Mona Emerson and Brenda Crowley of Addison, and Mary Grady of Lebanon, Maine; a nephew, Millard Alley of Jonesport; sister's-in-law, Virginia and Dorothy Alley of Jonesport; great-niece Heidi Hinkley and great-nephew Herbert Hatt Jr., both of Jonesport; special friends, Robert Gray, and Ned and Cindy Merchant, and their sons, Ned Merchant Jr. and Harold Allen, all of Jonesport. Leland was a clam digger by trade, and had a great love for country music. He as also a Yankees fan. There will be no funeral service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
