Ebenezer Stratton was born in Rutland, MA, the son of Samuel and Mary (Eaton) Stratton. In the Revolution Ebenezer served from Rutland, MA, in Capt. David Bent and Capt Josiah Wilder's companies, and Maj. Daniel Clapp, Col Nathan Sparhawk's regiment. He married Tabitha Davis and resided several years in Princeton, MA, five or six years in Jaffrey, NH. His brother David Stratton settled in Jaffrey. About 1784 Ebenezer and Tabitha moved to Rindge. He was selectman seven years, 1788 - 1794. He was one of the leading Baptists in Rindge and held preaching at his house. Ebenezer and Tabitha had nine children. Ebenezer died March 22, 1837, aged 85 years.
