AGED CITIZEN PASSES

Bartholomew Nee Died at Five O'clock This Morning.
Bartholomew Nee. one of the oldest and highly esteemed residents of this city, died at his home on Maryland avenue, this morning at 5 o'clock, aged 71 years. He had been in bad health for over a year, but only within the past few days did his condition become serious. The deceased had an eventful career, serving in the United States Navy, during the Civil War. from its beginning to the close. At the end of hostilities he came to this city and at the opening of the B. & O. rolling mill, was employed for, many years as a puddler. He was employed in various capacities and within the last few years has been in the employ of the city. Besides his wife,he is survived by three sons, Matthew, a salesman, of Chicago; Joseph, city police sergeant, and Thomas, living at McKees Rocks. Pa. One daughter. Mary, is a member of a religious order, at Johnstown. Pa. The funeral will take place on Monday morning with requiem mass in St. Patrick's Church, at an hour not yet designated. Interment, will be made in the church cemetery.
