Death visited the home of Leo Maloney, 440 Garfield street, Saturday, under unusually sad circumstances for Mrs. Maloney, who had given birth to a baby girl on Thursday, succumbed to pneumonia Saturday, while Mr. Maloney is a patient in the house at the same time, suffering the ravages of la grippe. The baby is being cared for with all the skill possible, a nurse assisting, Mrs. Elizabeth Brick, Mrs. Maloney's mother. Another child, a girl of six, is the only other member of the family. Arrangements are being made to take the remains to St. Cloud MN for interment. Mr. and Mrs. Maloney came from there a few years ago, and resided in Brandon, whence Mr. Maloney travelled for the International Harvester company. A few months ago they came to the city. Mr. Maloney being appointed manager of the Winnipeg office.
