He graduated from Lincoln High School and was a buyer for Schnitzer Steel and then a purchasing agent and manager for Bargains Galore. He was a lifetime member of Congregation Shaarie Torah. In 1939, he married Tillie Saperstein; she died in 2001. Survivors include his daughters, Barbara Steinbock and Bonnie Goldsmith; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
