Rosie was the daughter of Milo Alfred and Nellie Marie (Mathews) Diehl.

Her siblings included; Clarence "Sonny", Ella, Phyllis, Harriet, Dolan and Joanna.

OBITUARY
NEW BOSTON, Ill. -- Rosella 'Rosey' Coulter, 80, New Boston, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Burial will be at New Boston Cemetery, New Boston. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo, Ill., is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the New Boston Volunteer Ambulance Service.

Mrs. Coulter was born Dec. 16, 1923, in New Boston, the daughter of Milo and Nellie Matthews Diehl. She married Elmer Coulter Dec. 3, 1945, in Aledo. He preceded her in death Nov. 27, 2000.

She was a homemaker.

She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, talking on the phone, gardening and fishing.

She was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in New Boston.

Survivors include a daughter, Lucinda Puckett and husband Jim of New Boston; a daughter-in-law, Mary Coulter of New Boston; grandchildren, Christopher Coulter, Tonia Zimmerman, Mikki Coulter and Sarah Gillespie; a special niece, Ginger Pruess of Lowden; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Joanna Henderson of Aledo; and a brother, Dolan Diehl of Keithsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, three sisters and a brother.
