Nellie Margaret Wallace 71, of Mexico, died at her home on Saturday March 31, 2012.

Nellie was born on September 7, 1940 in Bachelor Mo. the daughter of Tony Bertman and Mary Ester (Adkins) Sullivan. On January 19, 1957 she married Edwin W. Wallace Jr. in Mexico Mo.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mary Love and Joe of New Florence and Margaret Ward and Doug of Mexico; a son, James Wallace of Mexico; ten grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and three sisters, Charlotte and husband Ralph Martin of Mexico, Frances and husband John Day of Centralia, and Marty Sullivan of Mexico.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Tony Wallace, a granddaughter, Theresa Kay Wallace, and a sister Edwina Stanford.

Funeral services were at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Forman officiating. Burial followed at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics, in care of Arnold Funeral Home.
