NICHOLSON GRAHAM NEVILLE, SR., 90, of 113 Overstreet Drive, died on Friday, January 25, 2002, at Britthaven of Louisburg. Mr. Neville, born on June 16, 1911, was a native of Halifax County, where prior to retirement, he was a farmer as well as a farm equipment dealer in the town of Enfield. He graduated from Enfield High School prior to entering High Point College in High Point, NC. Mr. Neville served his country during World War II in the United States Army, from February 1942, until October 1945. He was a Master Sergeant in the 815th Quartermaster Sterilization Company, where he was engaged in the five major battles in the European Theater of Operation. For each, he received a Gold Star. His wife, Alene Earley Neville, formerly of Ahoskie, NC; one son, Nicholson Graham Neville, Jr., of Henderson, NC; one daughter in law, Cheryl E. Neville, of Henderson, NC; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Johnson Knell, of Evans, Georgia; three great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild, survive Mr. Neville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on January 28, 2002, at Elmwood Cemetery in Enfield. The Reverend Dallas Prestwood will officiate the service. The family will meet friends at the Enfield Baptist Church, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Enfield Baptist Church or Eden Methodist Church, both of Enfield, or to the Alzheimer's Association Eastern Chapter, Suite 208, 400 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC 27608, in memory of Nicholson Graham Neville, Sr.
