Kenneth Ray Dulin passed away peacefully on December 13th after a brief illness. He was born in Mecklenburg County on September 9th, 1949, to Kenneth Harrison Dulin and Lillian Bernice Thompson Dulin. He graduated from Independence High School and served in the Army Reserves.
Ray was part owner of Cardinal Graphics in Charlotte until 2009 when he sold the business and retired. He spent many years of his life hunting and fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. He also enjoyed watching football, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. After retiring, he and Patty enjoyed traveling and working in their yard.
Survivors include his parents, his wife and best friend, Patricia Elizabeth McCrary, his dearest daughter Angela Dulin Ramsey and her husband Lee; his precious granddaughter Madeline Leigh Ramsey; his sisters, Beverly Dulin Stephenson and her children and Tammy Dulin Cauble, her husband Gary, and their children. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and many, many friends that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents as well as his aunt, Shirley Dulin Kirby.
A brilliant light left us when Ray passed away. But a brighter light now shines in heaven.
His family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, from 1-2 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd., Mint Hill, NC, followed by his Celebration of Life service at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that everyone donate to their favorite charity in memory of Ray.
