Theordore L. Cooper, 77,of 5391 Schmidt Rd., Gladwin,died suddenly Tuesday, April 26, of a heart attack.
Born in Franklin Township,Clare County, on September 30, 1905, he retired in 1967from the Ford Motor Co. where he was in quality control at the Wayne Assembly plant. He moved to Gladwin County in 1967 from Dearborn Heights. Mr. Cooper was a member of the Gladwin Masonic Lodge 397. He was married to the former Mary Vichunas in 1941 in Detroit. She died in 1954. He then married Fern M. Hayward in Gladwin, September 5, 1959. She preceded him in death May 7, 1979.
Surviving are one son,Theodore of Woodhaven; one daughter, Mrs. James (Marie)Miller of San Antonio, Texas;
9 step-children, Charles and Stanley Hayward of Gladwin,
Mrs. Nora Blaine, Mrs. Ruth Demott, Mrs. Joanne Porter and Mrs. Nancy Price of Flint, Mrs. Lora Dean and Mrs. Irene Ross of Beaverton and Mrs. Donna Cook of Gladwin; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Stevens of Arkansas, 3 brothers, Victor of Arkansas, Frank of Harrison and Ben of Fraser; and 6 grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral
Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Carl Briggs officiated and burial was in the Hamilton Township
Cemetery. A Masonic Memorial Service was held at the funeral home Thursday evening.
