This lovely lady was my grandmother.She resided in Gloversville with her husband,my grandfather,Thomas String Sr.,until his death in February of 1987.She was a member of Court Mayflower & North Main Street United Methodist Church & was Chaplain of The Puritan Class.Survivors include three sons: Thomas Jr,residing in Fort Plain,NY,C. Robert & his wife,Norma of Utica,NY & Leslie & his wife,Barbara of Johnstown,NY.One brother,Richard Neyhard of San Diego Cal.Three sisters,Mrs. Martha Strauser of Gloversville,NY,Mrs. Charlotte Knouse of Bloomsburg, Pa. & Mrs. Edith Hess of Danville,Pa.eight grandchildren & four great-grandchildren & numerous great-great grandchildren.They were united in marriage June 22nd 1929.
