Eli Coffman was born in Ohio in 1839 in Ohio, and died October 28, 1908, at his home near Sedalia Missouri.
When but a boy, he moved with his parents to Wisconsin, where he grew up.
He came to Iowa and settled in this area until about seven years ago, when he took his family to Arkansas, remaining there about 21 years when he moved to Missouri.
He was married to Miss Belinda Koder of Monroe.
They had three girls and one boy, one girl died several years ago. Also survived by four brothers; Asher of California, John of Wisconsin, Andrew of Prairie City and Christopher of Missouri.
The funeral was at Monroe, Iowa.
