Harvey W. Massey, Jr. 76, of Kansas City, K.S. died Friday, August 1, 1997, at his home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Shriner's Hospitals, c/o Abdullah Shrine Temple.
Mr. Massey was born in Goff, KS, and was a resident of Kansas City, KS for 55 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Massey was an assembly worker for 30 years at the General Motors Assembly Plant in Fairfax and retired in 1974. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local#31, and a member of Delaware Masonic Lodge #96. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruby Massey, and son, Harold W. Massey, both of the home; son, Roger E. Massey, Kansas City, KS.; and sister, Joyce Massey, of Overland Park, KS.
