OBITUARY
Christina Glantz

Christina Glantz, daughter of George and Anna Catherine Ross, was born on December 10, 1877, and passed away at the Methodist hospital in Omaha, Nebr., on April 9, 1957, at the age of 79 years and 4 months.

She came to America in infancy, settling with her parents and family on a homestead in the vicinity of Eldorado, Nebr. There she attended rural school and grew to womanhood.

On November 27, 1898, she was united in marriage with Henry Glantz, and resided in Lincoln, Nebr., until coming to Harvard in 1909.

She was preceded in death by her husband on November 20, 1933, and by a daughter, Esther, on October 28, 1918.

Mrs. Glantz was a loyal church member and maintained an interest in the Women's Guild of the church. Having confessed her faith as a young girl, she continued steadfastly in daily prayer and Bible reading until her death. Her Christian beliefs were expressed in a life of devotion to her family, charitable gifts, and in kindness to her friends and neighbors.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. E.A. Katterhenry, were held at the United Church in Harvard on Friday, April 12. Wilbur Pauley, John Brenneman, Donald and Gerald Eller sang "Abide With Me" and "It Is Well With My Soul," accompanied by Mrs. John Branneman. Pallbearers were six nephews: David, Louie and Reuben Ross; Raymond, Leonard and Willard Glantz.

Surviving are three sons, Raymond and Rinehart of Harvard, David of Omaha, Nebr.; three daughters, Mrs. Martha Westberg of Rapid City, South Dakota, Mrs. Sarah Ingram of Grand Island, Nebr., Mrs. Rachel O'Brien of Omaha, Nebr.; nine grandchildren; a brother, Adam Ross of Harvard, a sister, Mrs. A.G. Brehm of Hastings, Nebr. and many nieces and nephews.

Safe in the arms of Jesus,
Safe on His gentle breast,
There by His love o'ershadowed,
Sweetly her soul shall rest.
