SCHAFER, Henry K. -- At the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital on Monday, Feb. 23, 1976, after a brief illness, Henry K. Schafer, of 514 Lancaster St. W., aged 89 years. Mr. Schafer was born in Erbsville, a son of the late Henry Schafer and the former Elizabeth Koenig, and farmed in the K-W area for many years, was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport. Surviving. are his wife, the former Hilda Schierholtz; by three sons, Elmer and Lloyd both at home, and Arno of Kitchener; a brother John of Kitchener, and three grandchildren, Murray, Brenda and Mary Schafer; predeceased by six sisters and four brothers. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener. Funeral and committal service in the chapel Thursday, at 2 p.m., with Rev Ralph Huras officiating. Interment will be in the family plot, St. James Lutheran cemetery, Elmira.
