She married Henry Schafer on Jan. 30, 1872 in Wellesley village at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Elizabeth gave birth to 12 children. Eight sons and 4 daughters.
Elizabeth died at home at 24 Princess St. in Waterloo at the age of 79 years and 7 months. She died from Intestinal Influenza. Death Certificate #033741.
