Frances E. (Wilson) Floyd-Alexander, 78, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away, Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Alexander was born June 27, 1933, in Mississippi, the daughter of James Philmore and Glenna Maude (Cade) Wilson. On May 6, 1966, Frances married Gene Alexander. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2011. Mrs. Alexander was a homemaker later working as a custodian at the Excelsior Springs School District for 10 years.
In addition to her husband, Gene, Frances was preceded in death her parents; one brother, Morgan Wilson; four sisters, Pauline Wilson, Mary Holliman, Ada Newman and Mattie Jim Coleman.
Survivors include: four sons, Clifton E. Floyd of Kansas City, Mo., Jim Floyd of Arkansas, Stanley (Helen) Alexander of Excelsior Springs and Michael (Karla) Alexander of Fredericksburg, VA; four daughters, Donna (Mike) Green of Utah, Jane (Dennis) Due of Excelsior Springs, Judy (Eugene) Morris of Warsaw, Vickey (Ross) Breeze of Liberty; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 2:00p.m., at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs. Memorial Contributions may be made to the K.C. Hospice, 14500 E. 42nd Street, Suit 240, Independence, Mo 64055. Written condolences may be left at www.polleyfuneralhome.com
