ALICE DAVIS DODD, a homemaker and the widow of football coach Bobby Dodd, died at her home in Atlanta on March 27, 1992. Mrs. Dodd, 78, suffered from acute leukemia. A graduate of Girls High School in Atlanta, she was a member of the Georgia Tech Women's Association and the North Avenue Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Dodd was a familiar face on campus, and often attended football games and social functions. Even after her husband's death in 1988, she continued to attend Homecoming functions and special events such as the 1991 Citrus Bowl. Mrs. Dodd was named honorary alumnus of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association in 1967. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Thompson of Atlanta; a son, Robert L. Dodd Jr., of Dallas, Ga.; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and three brothers.
